Off The Page is a transcription
service, primarily for people who are blind or have a visual
impairment, which will provide a professional reading on an audio CD or
cassette of your information, whether it be conference literature,
a job recruitment pack or theatre brochure. This is a service
which is needed, not only by visually-impaired people but
also by the many others who, due to some other kind of disability,
find reading difficult There are about 2½ million people in this country
who are unable to read about your organisation and the goods
or services you provide because they are dyslexic or have
a visual impairment: add to that the many who find holding
a book or magazine difficult because they have a physical
disability, and you'll get an idea of the number of potential
customers you're missing out on. But it isn't just about good business sense: now it is
illegal, under the Disability
Discrimination Act, to make it 'unreasonably difficult' for
a disabled person to use 'goods and services'. For many people,
'unreasonable difficulty' is caused by the written word. To listen to an audio demo of our work, why not click here?
